Heidi Alexandra Pollard Director of Leading Value Pty Ltd, a company devoted to empowering women, professional communicators and solopreneurs around the world with the tools and strategies to live a purposeful life full of passion and prosperity.
When she started Leading Value in 2005, she was especially excited about servant leadership, personal development and teaching others to communicate with power and influence because of own personal leadership and coaching journey. Known as 'The Communicators’ Coach', Heidi founded The Professional Communicators’ Network – a networking group for industry professionals wanting to further their learning and development after university in Australia.
Coach, trainer, professional communicator, communications consultant and speaker, Heidi inspires all who come into contact with her and her unique message. Her passion has always centered on principles such as two-way communication, servant leadership and continuous learning – her message – creating companies that connect with people.
Frank, decisive, strategic and intuitive, Heidi enjoys working closely with professional communicators, executives and leaders who are ready to affect their company culture and profile in a positive way.
When fellow coaches and other small business owners began asking Heidi for marketing, leadership and business development advice, she jumped on the opportunity to quickly create training programs and products to support others in their growth. From that moment on, she fast became the foremost authority in career boosting, networking and leadership in the communication and coaching industries.
Heidi has over 13 years of experience as a public relations, marketing and communications leader across a broad range of industries including health, education government and OHS as well as several years working with clients across a variety of industries such as government, media, politics, public relations and advertising. She has a degree in Public Relations as well as a Graduate Diploma and Masters in Professional Communications and is a licenced coaching clinic facilitator, an Accredited Myers Briggs Type Indicator trainer and a Certified NLP Practitioner.
Heidi challenges clients to discover a new leadership orientation, the benefits of cooperation instead of competition and promotes the value of human connection, storytelling and the benefits of relationships in today’s emotionally barren corporate world.
With her guidance clients comment that they are more emotionally resilient, able to handle their own emotions and find greater empathy for others. They also enjoy an improved ability to reflect, to communicate with clarity and power and an enhanced sense of optimism.
While Heidi’s best known for her expertise in PR, marketing and communication, her students share that her biggest impact comes from her philosophy of “magnetic leadership” and designing your business to live life on your terms – ensuring your business revolves around your passion and purpose and personal values. This, Heidi says, is the most important key to bringing solopreneurs and professional communicators to their ultimate prosperity and happiness.
As a practicing servant leader, she is generous with her time – she is an active member of the Hunter Medical Research Institute Foundation and the Founder and Chair of the Professional Communicators Network.
